The U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO) today announced a conditional commitment for a loan guarantee of up to $182.6 million to IRG Erie, Inc. ERIE, PA (March 14, 2022) – International Recycling Group (IRG) finalized the purchase of 25.48 acres of the former Hammermill Paper site from SB3, LLC. The company announced today that the property, located at 1565 E. Lake Road, is now officially the home of what will become the country’s largest plastics recycling plant.
